Time and weather have taken it's toll

The original limestone staircase and it's rubble foundation were removed and new footings with reinforcing steel tied into the bedrock were added. New sidewalls were formed following the exact same pattern as the original and new tread footings were poured prior to a local stonemason replicated the limestone caps and stair treads. This new addition will last another 100 years and make building access safer and easier.
